Education

Before launching my legal career, I studied engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and business administration at the Florida Institute of Technology. This training helped provide a deeper understanding of the work of creatives, inventors and builders, and how that work needs to be protected. My law training took place at New England Law in Boston, graduating in 1989.

Before opening my private practice, I worked for many years for top Fortune 500 companies (Raytheon Company, Scientific-Atlanta (Currently Cisco), Intel Corporation, and RealNetworks) as an in-house corporate intellectual property attorney and represented other major companies (Microsoft, IBM, GE, Lenovo, Amazon, HP, Infineon, and Boeing) as an outside patent counsel. This provided me with unique insights into the way patents, trademarks, and intellectual property were protected. In April of 2006, I opened my own private practice with a focus on intellectual property services. If you're in need of a Georgia intellectual property attorney who is experienced and creative, I am the one you want.
